Data Protection & Freedom of Information Act Training

The Data Protection Act 1998 establishes a framework of rights and duties which are designed to safeguard personal data.

The Freedom of Information Act deals with access to official information. The Act applies to most public authorities. It also applies to companies which are wholly owned by public authorities.

BSI offer a range of training courses covering both acts and BS 10012 which has been written to provide organisations with a framework to manage its data protection responsibilities.
