Minimizing disruptions - Maximizing recovery
Continued operations in the event of a disruption, whether due to a major disaster or a minor incident, is a fundamental requirement for any organization. BS 25999, the world's first British standard for Business Continuity Management, has been developed to help you minimize the risk of such disruptions.
By helping to put the fundamentals of a Business Continuity Management system in place, the standard is designed to keep your business going during the most challenging and unexpected circumstances - protecting your staff, preserving your reputation and providing the ability to continue to operate and trade.
Business Continuity Management (BS 25999) comprises two parts:
- Part 1, the Code of Practice, has been published and provides Business Continuity Management best practice recommendations. Please note that this is a guidance document only.
- Part 2, the Specification, is targeted for publication in the Autumn of 2007 and provides the requirements for a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) based on Business Continuity Management best practice. This is therefore the standard that you can use to demonstrate compliance via an auditing and certification process.
BSI Training offers a comprehensive program of BUSINESS CONTINUITY training courses covering every aspect of Business Continuity Management (BS 25999) for:
- Delegates who are new to Business Continuity Management Systems
- Delegates who need to audit & improve an existing system
You can choose whether you would like to attend one of our scheduled public business continuity training courses or have it delivered on your premises as an in-company solution.
