Save energy, save money, save the environment

ISO 50001 is an International Standard thay lays out the latest best practice in energy management. It was developed by energy management experts from over 60 countries from across the world.
ISO 50001 will help you to:
- Understand your baseline energy usage,
- Create action plans, targets and energy performance indicators
- Identify, prioritise, and record opportunities for improving energy performance.
How does certification help?
Certification proves that your energy management system meets the requirements of the standard. This gives your customers and stakeholders more confidence that you're saving energy. It will also help you to ensure your management system is working throughout your organization. See more benefits.
Who is ISO 50001 for?

Certification is a valuable tool which you can use to demonstrate to your stakeholders that you meet the very latest energy management best practice.
We’re an accredited body ourselves, which ensures that we look at your management system from an independent angle, and our highly trained and experienced assessors bring their industry knowledge to bear to help you get the most out of BS ISO 50001 Energy management.
The Energy Management Assessment Process
The Energy management system (EnMS) assessment is conducted by one of our highly trained and experienced Client Managers who will have an excellent understanding of your business area and will support you as you move forward with the assessment and certification of your EnMS.
The assessment is typically conducted in two stages.
The first stage will look at the top level policy, documentation, processes and procedures in place to manage your energy consumption and your Client Manager will identify any omissions or weaknesses that need resolving before the main assessment. The Client Manager will gain familiarity with your site and plan the next stage in detail.
Stage Two of the assessment is focused on the effective implementation of the policy, documentation, processes and procedures and will involve discussions with all levels of staff within your organisation.
Subject to a successful Energy management assessment, a certificate of registration will be issued to demonstrate the scope of your activities, the locations covered, and the standard against which you have been assessed. The certificate will be valid for three years, and your assessor will visit you regularly to help you make sure you remain compliant, and support you in the continual improvement of your systems.
